We Interview Hollywood Hottie Darcy Donovan

You saw her recently on Parks & Recreation, now Hollywood hottie Darcy Donovan swims into your phone and tablet. As one of the stars of MovieMaze’s new interactive movie game The Plumber, Darcy’s been lucky enough to participate in the next big thing in entertainment.

Darcy, how much is MovieMaze like those old Choose Your Own Adventure books? Similar? It looks like a lot of fun! Yes, it is a lot like those old “Choose your own Adventure” books that you got when you were a kid. When the opportunity came along to work in this type of project I was really excited, since I know how popular those books were and how much I loved reading them. To be able to see this concept being made into a movie where people can come up with their own endings to the story really takes the art of film-making to a whole new level. Not to mention it was A LOT of fun!

Is this the first time you’ve been involved in an ‘app’ project?

In regards to “filming” for an app, yes, I have actually been a part of many other apps for phones including some of my own Darcy Donavan apps, as well as several games that are a lot of fun to play. Some of the apps feature my music including “Tap Studio Challenge” and “Music Monsters” which you can find on my Facebook page in the “MORE” section. I do have to say that Moziemaze was one of my favorite app projects to be a part of. How long of a shoot was it?

It did not take long to film. Production was on their game and because of that they were able to get all the scenes filmed in a very timely manner. We did have rehearsals before we filmed, so that helped everything  run smoothly. How did it work – was it scripted?

Yes. It was scripted. A few of the scenes were improvised, but mainly it was scripted to be able to handle all the different endings that you can find in the game. What’s an ‘app’ you can’t live without?

I cannot live without my Evernote and Basecamp Apps. I have to have those to keep organized and run my business effectively since I am always on the go. I also cannot live without my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up with all my fans and to let them know what I am doing. I love being able to speak with my fans no matter where I am. What have you been up to since completing production on ‘The Plumber’?

My episode of Parks & Recreation just recently aired. I loved working on that project. Chris Pratt is such a sweetheart and the cast and crew were absolutely amazing.

Right now, I am in the process of getting a music video done for my brand new single that is coming out. I was really excited that my last single “It’s My Life”, charted in the top ten on iTtunes. I am also working on recording a few new tracks, as well as writing several books and a screenplay. I am getting ready to start filming on an action/suspense thriller film, “The Final Table”. I get to play the role of a poker champion, so I am really looking forward to that.  I LOVE poker and I have to start working on my poker face. HAHA! LOL!
